Trygg Natt = 4 Safe Night

4 Safe Night: Innovation for safer and smarter healthcare services for patients and healthcare providers

The Trygg Natt contactless monitoring platform has the English name 4 Safe Night. It is based on a new paradigm for indirect, non-intrusive and high precision 4D monitoring of respiratory rate for patients at rest, and monitors location in the room and movement intensity when the patient moves. The platform has been developed at Oslo University Hospital in collaboration with  Equanostic in a service innovation project funded by the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority. 
The UWB-IR (ultra wide band impulse radio) roof mounted  multi-sensor array converts patient rooms to smartrooms , and  no wires or re-installation procedures are required.

4 Safe Night is a new innovative and sustainable non-intrusive and contactless monitoring platform supporting the green shift. The low power system is installed once, and is used time and time again without the need for cables or any additional disposable equipment producing waste. Resources for mantennance are not required. From a hygiene perspective is risk for contamination between patients eliminated, and cleaning between users not required as 4 Safe Night is contactless.
